22 mm x 800 ft 12-Strand HMPE Main Towline

12-strand single braid in HMPE, 22 mm diameter, 800 ft long, spliced and ready to rig.

1.0 m (3 ft) soft eyes spliced at each end, with chafe guard around both eyes and 3.6 m (12 ft) up the line.

What it does

This is the working length of the tow. It is spliced with a soft eye at each end so it can be connected without hardware, and the eyes and the first stretch of line carry chafe guard where they bear on the fairlead and the bitts.

12-strand HMPE takes very little stretch under load. That is what you want in the main towline — and it is also why a stretcher is rigged into the system to take the shock.

Made to order and spliced to the configuration above. Diameter, length, eye size and where the chafe guard sits can all be changed — tell us the rig and we will build to it.

Breaking loads, and any test or certification requirement, are quoted on request against the finished assembly. No test certificate is supplied with a standard order.
