Non-Sparking Spray Booth Scraper — Aluminum Bronze

A wide, thin non-sparking blade for stripping cured overspray off spray booth walls, grating and filters. Paint booths accumulate a solvent-rich deposit that a steel scraper can ignite; aluminum bronze will not strike a spark off the panel behind it.

A note on non-sparking tools

Aluminum bronze reduces the risk of a frictional or impact spark; it does not remove every ignition source, and it is not a substitute for gas freeing, ventilation or a permit system. Bronze is softer than steel — it wears faster and can pick up embedded steel particles that will spark, so these tools need cleaning and inspection in service. The hazardous-area assessment is your safety case.
